The Arboretum Borová hora is a special-purpose facility of the Technical University in Zvolen. The area of the arboretum was declared a protected area in the villages of Sliač and Zvolen, Banská Bystrica region, Zvolen district, in the Zvolen basin, area of 47.8 ha, declared 1981 [1], dendrological arboretum mainly with domestic species in Slovakia, capturing their intraspecific and geographical variability, used for teaching, includes rosarium and collection of cacti and succulents.

The collection of roses in rosarium contains approximately 840 varieties [4]. Genofond's collection is focused on roses bred in the historical territory of the former Czechoslovakia. Collection of cacti and succulents. The exposition is divided into groups according to location.
